Aldridge 10km Race

Each year, ARC hosts a popular 10km race, open to non-members only.

Alongside the main 10km race there are also children's races which prove popular each year.

You can enter here for 2025 (08 June) - early bird prices currently available.

The race has sold out for the last two years! Make sure you don't miss out by 'liking' our race Facebook page for updates.

The course records remain at 00:30:26 for men, set by Mark Miles in 2011, and 00:34:01 for women, set by Hayley Carruthers in 2019.

Aldridge 10km 2024 Overview
Congratulations to all who took part on a cool but dry day. See you next year on 8 June 2025 - entries are now open. Having sold out in record time this year and nearly 100 people on the waiting list we recommend an early entry and are currently offering a saving of £5.

Children's Races
It was lovely to see so many children enjoying the challenge of racing over 400m and 1 mile, with lots of smiles and some very impressive performances.

Overall we had 129 runners, with 48 completing the 400m and 81 running the mile.

Well done to every one of you. Winners and photos can be found here.

Aldridge Running Club are proud to continue the tradition of covering volunteer positions through club members, who do not participate in the race, choosing instead to ensure the safety and success of the race, cheering and encourage others. We were also grateful this year for the support of ex-members and friends, also to members of Aldridge Rotary and Streetwatch.

We were grateful too this year to our pacers: Andrew Pullen, Nicky Jones and Chris Boden. Many thanks too, to race director Lynda Elmore and her committee, for all the work behind the scenes over the past moonths.

We do not, however, deprive club members of the joy of Hobs Hole Lane, as we run our own races the Tuesday after the main race. This was won by Adam Smith, in a time of 00:35:15, with Rachael Jones taking first female, in a time of 00:46:48.
